About us

Hi, my name is Dave Cooper and this is us: Bird ‘n’ Bloke Ltd are a family run property maintenance business, operating within a 20 mile radius of Sutton Bridge (PE12 9XA). My personal background is having over 20 years experience working in and on properties, with jobs ranging from putting up a shelf, to building an extension, to renovating entire buildings. Nici and I started Bird ‘n’ Bloke in 2003. We decided to start our own business, as we wanted to provide customers in our local area with service which was grounded and personal, and not booked “off the shelf”. The name Bird ‘n’ Bloke offers an insight into our sense of humour, and portrays our ability not take ourselves too seriously, (that’s something we like to save for our work!) The name has the added benefit of making us stand out from the crowd, possibly giving people a laugh, but nevertheless a name you won’t forget in a hurry! We started by cleaning windows, and within weeks had progressed to utilising my skills with my hands to their best abilities. Since then we have worked with many customers to achieve their home improvement ideals. In 2004, we incorporated to become Bird ‘n’ Bloke Ltd, with an aim to eventually brand ourselves into different markets. We’ve not got that far yet, but we’re always trying! Our speciality has become Kitchen, Bathroom and Wetroom Installations; with most projects including a “back to brick” approach and a complete re-modelling of the rooms involved. Much of our work stems from word-of-mouth and repeat business from satisfied customers, meaning Bird ‘n’ Bloke Ltd has become known for the top quality works we produce. We are commited to offering our customers value for money whilst delivering the best quality results. We listen to our customers, and do our best to help them unlock their property’s potential.
